INFORMATION BULLETIN – www.uawlocal2000.org – JULY 22, 2021 ANNUAL UAW REGION 2-B RICHARD T. GOSSER SCHOLARSHIP INVITATIONAL GOLF CLASSIC: One foursome from our membership is needed to golf in the Richard T. Gosser Scholarship Invitational on Sunday, August 1st at Thunderbird Hills Golf Course, 1316 Mudbrook Road, Huron, Ohio 44839. The entry fee for the outing is prepaid. Members must bring a list of their team members (including team members’ addresses and phone numbers) to the union hall or email your list to linda@uawlocal2000.org now through Monday, July 26th. A random drawing will be held on Tuesday, July 27th at 4:00 PM. Lost time or expenses will not be paid for attending. INCIDENTS OF FRAUD AT ODJFS UNEMPLOYMENT: Members should log into their ODJFS unemployment account WEEKLY to be sure their banking information hasn’t been changed by fraudsters and to be sure there are no eligibility issues that need answered. ODJFS is performing identity audits now and there are deadlines for uploading the requested documents so it’s very important that members be proactive. Many members are being audited after they restarted their claim for OHAP’s most recent layoff (this week). Items that must be submitted for the audit are images of your birth certificate, Social Security card, driver’s license and a voided check if you are paid by ODJFS via direct deposit. If you don’t send all of the items in, they will not release your pay and the eligibility issues will snowball each time you’re laid off. Meaning you won’t get paid. Also, it’s very important that you NEVER click on text links that look like they come from ODJFS (their website but .COM instead of .GOV).  GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS RESUME: The next General Membership Meeting is Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 2:30 PM at UAW Local 2000, 3151 Abbe Road in Sheffield Village.
