DATE SET FOR GENERAL ELECTION: The General Election will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 12:00 PM (noon) until Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 12:00 PM (noon) (24 hours). The Run-Off Election (if necessary) will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 12:00 PM (noon) until Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 12:00 PM (noon) (24 hours). Further details will be communicated in upcoming bulletins and postings.
UAW NATIONAL FORD SUB COUNCIL: President Bill Samples will be out of town attending the UAW National Ford Sub Council from Monday, March 13th through Friday, March 17th. Dianna Brezina, 1st Vice President, will serve as acting president and can be contacted at 934.3151, extension 104.
PROFIT SHARING DAY IS MARCH 9TH. Ford’s North American pre-tax profits will generate approximately $9,176 per eligible employee on a full-year basis. Individual profit sharing payments will be higher or lower, based upon employee compensated hours. Individual payments are based upon eligible compensated hours, so an employee who was compensated for overtime hours worked during the calendar year could receive more than $9,176.
RENTAL HALL UPDATE: During the first week of February, the tree service took out most of the trees we will need in order to accommodate the new structure.
AUTOKINITON CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS: We have been working on contract negotiations and hope to have their contract completed very soon. Autokiniton will likely become part of our local union.
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING: The next General Membership Meeting is Sunday, March 12th at 2:30 PM at UAW Local 2000, 3151 Abbe Road in Sheffield Village. On the agenda will be: 1) Conducting the Election Committee Election and 2) Reading and voting on the two proposed by-laws that were read at February’s meeting. Please attend and be informed.
