ANNUAL UAW REGION 2-B RICHARD T. GOSSER SCHOLARSHIP GOLF CLASSIC INVITATIONAL: two foursomes needed from our membership to golf in the Richard T. Gosser Scholarship Invitational on Sunday, July 28th at the Thunderbird Hills Golf Club in Huron, Ohio. The entry fee for the outing is prepaid. Those interested must drop off a list of their team members to the union hall (including team members’ addresses and phone numbers) or email your list to linda@uawlocal2000.org now through Tuesday, July 2nd during normal business hours (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM (noon) and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM). A random drawing will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd at 4:30 PM at the union hall for one team to represent Local 2000. Lost time or expenses will not be paid for attending. OHAP VACATION SHUTDOWN UNEMPLOYMENT INSTRUCTIONS FOR TFT’S
File for unemployment benefits online at http://unemployment.ohio.gov. If you do not have internet access, call your processing center (the number is located on correspondence you’ve received from the ODJFS). ODJFS business hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday, except holidays.
Be sure to follow the instructions below carefully because ODJFS will no longer backdate late filings. If you don’t file on time and correctly, you will not be paid. You must call the ODJFS or visit their web page TWICE; once to open your application for benefits and again the following week to claim your week.
TFT’S WITH A 5/28/24 OR 6/3/24 SENIORITY DATE WILL FILE FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS: The mass layoff number is 2400442. You will be laid off for one (1) week. Your last day worked is 06/28/2024 and your return to work date is 07/08/2024. On the Sunday BEFORE your layoff, 06/30/2024, you will reopen or restart your claim. On the following Sunday, 07/07/24, you will file a claim for week ending 07/06/2024.
